Art & Copy – Zine Club

DK’s next online workshop is ‘Art & Copy’ – Zine Club. A ‘zine’ is a mini-magazine, usually self-published.

Next start date is 15 Nov… here is a PDF with details… A+C-ZineClubFlyer2

What is Art & Copy? What are zines? Good questions.

The first one, first. Art & Copy is our monthlyish zine, co-created in a track of ‘Cojournal’ that I host at Kismuth Books.

For example:

We will co-create 1 issue of the A6, 16-24-page zine, ‘Art & Copy.’ What are zines? See: http://kismuth.com/zine-resources

WHAT TO EXPECT. We’ll meet (or call) and discuss your goals for writing, and sharing it in this format, and then, we’ll make it happen. I’m going to invite no more than 4 people per circle, so that we can have a cozy and personal set of zinemaking experiences. Sometimes we can meet and talk. Sometimes we can cut and paste and write and share. It depends on the theme that emerges. You’ll be led through the creative process that has worked here at Design Kompany for many people who are on the same path… Wanting to make more time to be more creative and wondering how and where to start.

SCHEDULE. Writing prompts will be sent weekly. Each week’s is designed to be complete-able within 20 minutes. These are sequenced to help you discover with clarity the pop that makes you very much you, and only you. We’re using Telegram, LINE, Zoom, and email. It’s up to you how you’d like to participate and you’ll be placed in the cohort that best matches your goals and communication preferences.
