Writer, Write! Anthropic principle
8 March, 2018 @ 8:00 AM - 12 March, 2018 @ 5:00 PMUSD128
LET’S WRITE TOGETHER, for four days. In a sprint.
This is an online event for people who write and want to focus on creating 1 piece. This is where you can get some focus, guidance, editorial development peer mentorship, and also the 4 days you need of accountability to ‘make it happen.’ You choose the subject you want to focus on, and you apply to be a part of it. We’ll look for the most exceptional applications and gather in a virtual space, to talk together about how the writing is going. It’s not going to be for any kind of sharing, outside of that forum, where you can get some confidence and discover the journey of focus, giving time to a thing that matters to you, and sharing the learning about how it’s going for you, too. That’s not easy to come by, in this fast-paced way of working now. But the conversations that can emerge might illumintae for you something about how you work best. And your own quirks, your style, your process. Think of this as a miniature version of a school programme: you wanted to go and be part of something where you found peers, and a community, but you didn’t want to give up all the other things you have going on in your life and commit to a ‘program’ somewhere. School is like that, isn’t it? A giant commitment. And at the end of it, you might not even know what the heck it was even for.
We will be writing. And we will be writing about our separate topics. DK will be writing abot the anthorpic principle. Something we have been meaning to do some research and study on for quite some months, but just never got around to making time for it. An inch wide and a mile deep: that’s the idea. Investigate, connect with the subject, explore it deeply. It’s like taking a real life relationship and making sure you spend some quality time with it, giving it the attention it deserves in order to know that it means something to you. Does that make sense?
Apply now to be part of it. We will be working on this password-protected page:
