DESK is DK’s new magazine of essay and original illustration.
At the time of this writing, DK is three issues in to our monthly publication DESK. The idea is ‘new illustration and matters of opinion from the desk of DK’ but it’s looking like mostly essays and long-form pieces about choice, making them and choosing them, as well as identity and how things change form.
In other words, a companion to all that we’ve been able to share all these years with clients of Design Kompany and guests of our meetups and salons. How to try new things. Think about things in new ways. Make space to slow down, to ‘see it.’ This is the creative process, at its best. A place to linger, to let things formulate, to not rush, to not obsess about getting to the end, and to invite the introspetion and inquiry one needs to make not just something mediocre, but something really great. You can do it. Slowing down. To see. Really helps.
