‘Why is making friends as an adult so hard?’
‘You have to be willing to be seen.’
This was a good conversation and I was reminded all over again why I make conversation spaces for some people to meet each other, and meet again, and keep meeting with our zine club. It’s so fun, but there is value to it that is beyond the making of zines.

Some notes. Minaa B: ‘People in the 35-45 age range… women are having children at a later age, so we see parenting is plaing a role in that. More people are focused on their areer, leading to burnout… WFH is a permanent thing for a lot of people… I do find that around that age you see a lot of the factors that once felt familiar and once felt stable in your life become disrupted. And that’s where those life transitions come in…. Sometimes belonging means being willing to pull up a chair and have a seat.’
