Kurt Cobain

Wikipedia: ‘In March 1994, he overdosed on a combination of champagne and Rohypnol, subsequently undergoing an intervention and detox program. On April 8, 1994, he was found dead in the greenhouse of his Seattle home at the age of 27, with police concluding that he had died around three days earlier from a self-inflicted shotgun wound to the head…. He was heralded as a spokesman of Generation. X ‘

I just thought of him today.

Kurt Cobain: ‘heralded as a spokesman of Generation X’

This is an interesting thing to read on Wikipedia about the dude. I mean, maybe. I just don’t think that it’s true, though, if you want to hear my opinion. Angsty Gen X just isn’t my favorite label for us.

But I thought of Cobain today, somehow.  The reason why, is Aberdeen came up. I was writing this post in a stream of consciousness kind of way, as that is what we do when we are writing sometimes, as there needn’t be “a point to it” in some moments, I feel. We were driving around Washington and Oregon and passed through Aberdeen somehow. I remember thinking, ‘What’s the big deal about this town?’ I remember playing The Postal Service and the rain on the windshield and how when you got out of the car, finally, to get some tacos, yes, I recall those, it was so fresh, the air.
