It’s a good moment when you recognize that things are starting to fall into place. A dream, a vision, an update, a real-time switch over to something else because this isn’t working quite… right. And you do this enough times and you stick with it, and something cool happens. People begin to notice.
They see you care about something, early on, and they’re nice to you about it. They say, ‘Good job,’ or ‘Good luck with that,’ but if you cross into work territory and you’re too… well, you know, joyful, they say, ‘You’re raising the bar’ and not mean it as a compliment. Making more work for us becuase you like working in this way isn’t a good idea, is the idea, I think, or it might have been. I couldn’t know. I was so young, back then, before wisening up to the ways of the world including walking away from so-called supporters and negativity and people who the internet calls ‘toxic.’
