‘N’ is a big blind date for people to meet, talk and cross paths with others whom they might not’ve, by design. The topic this time is Nuance. Pictured above is our event in Phnom Penh, and at left, the tickets for our Bangkok event moments after I hand-delivered the first of the sixteen.
In the past, with Normality, Now, Nearness and Noteworthiness, and Narrative as topics in cities with ‘N’s in them (London, Bangkok, Phnom Penh, and Hanoi), I was really all loud and vocal about how I wrote about the ideas, in blog posts. It was a lot of thinking it out and calling for interest and reaching out, one by one, to see who might like to show up and be a part of it.
This time, it’ll be a lot less of that–much more sharing quietly, listening for… nuance. If the idea of talking, talking about shades of grey and variations of meaning even within the same situation, then you may be a great fit for ‘N’. What we do is meet and talk–once. About this topic, and whatever else emerges as we go. Improvisationally but also, candid and free.
