Want to make things, be creative, and meet new people trying to do the same? It’s not simple to find that kind of community, I think, partly because we hold ourselves back often due to overwhelming social programming. But I’m one of a jillion people on the internet who is here to tell people the story of ‘yes’. You can make. You can be creative. You can learn as you go and you can build skills. That’s the stuff of the creative process, anyway, figuring it out as you go. Diving in, and getting started.
Maybe your resistance to getting into a small project like Art & Copy to practice your creative stuff is tricky to reckon with; I’ve seen that a lot. There are so many excuses. I’ll get to it later, I don’t have time but I have money, I don’t have money but I have time, it’s not like I’m inspired right now. Etc, etc.
But… also, there’s more I think under the surface.

Creativity doesn’t need you to start out with exceptional talent; that’s quite impossible. No one sprouts out of the ground fully formed. It requires tolerance for imperfection and a willingness to experiment. That’s way less fancy and stuff, I know, than the ‘artistic genius working in solitude’. But it’s more real, I think, too.
What’s the cost of inaction today? Not getting the chance to get better sooner. And make more that you’re delighted by, somewhere at dotted instances, all along the way.
