I’ve been hosting this workshop since 2014, when it first started out as a commission to do some staff training at a summer program I was part of. That was a lot of fun because it was a chance to do something new. I had already done a lot of brand identity design sessions, mostly in real life for clients, and the short and focused version of just a piece of that for the staff was a new experiment.
We talked about SELF. I wanted them to think about their personal goals, and what they’d been doing in life so far, and how things were elating for them. This was right out of the Design Kompany toolkit, but it was personalized and individual-focused instead of company brand identity-focused.
